CTAgenda, what makes you think statism can achieve equality any better than market anarchism can? Look around, statism is everywhere and yet there is mass inequality, why is that? Is equality really the most important goal? In a market anarchy you and I will still care about those in need, and so will millions of other people, and we will all have more equal access to the market to provide ourselves, and those we care about, with the things they need.

I am familiar with market anarchism and I have heard numerous talks by Friedman and spent a good year listening to Stefam Molyneux. But I think the philosophy is fundamentally flawed (or fundmendally dependent on altruism that does not exist in the ranks of its Randroid believers)

Two pillars for a happy society are FREEDOM and EQUALITY, market anarchism provides freedom and abuses equality. There in lies the problem, I actually happen to care about those people with no skills relevant to the free market they are human beings and if they dont have the basics (shelter, food and access to education)

I dont have to argue philosophy, more equal countries perform better at every measurable quality of life statistic than those with high income disparities, just look up equality.org
