LOL
Alexander of Corinth (10th king of Corinth)
Alexander of Pherae (despot of Pherae), Alexander I of Epirus (king of Epirus), Philip of Acarnania etc etc.
The Greeks did not looked the Macedonians as foreigners.
Demosthenes called only the Philip barbarian for political reasons, an ancient commentator reminded the Demosthenes that Philip was from the Greek town Argos, descendant of Hercules ;)
Also the Greeks called those who did not live in a city-state "barbarians" so...
So, why do you not thing that maybe Greeks made every barbarin words including the Macedonian words easy to their own language? You well know that the Greeks looked on Macedonians as Barbarians (foreigners)...
I am not a nationalist, but an open mind person. I hate injustices, so I always try to find the truth. I always look your and our arguments and I come to a conclude of all these. Until now my research say me that the ancient Macedonians were a distinct nation separate from their neighbors. If in the future I for surely discover that the ancient Macedonians were Hellenes, I would consider myself as Hellen. I will always consider myself as the ancient Macedonian were. Hellen or just Macedonian, I am not care, I always will consider myself as ancient Macedonian, even if I discover that the ancient Macedonians were Hellenes!
And about those Persian names it is not true... Come on dude, for example if Dareios from "areios" then why to add a "D"? Greeks make every barbarian word easy to their own language, in Persian the Dareios is Dārayawuš, the Xerxes is "Xšayāršā" etc if you know Greek you can understand how those names become Greek-like
I do not deny your being Macedonian. I do not say that you are not descendants of the ancient Macedonians, but YOU DO! Is it so hard to let me call myself with my real name? All my ancestors, centuries behind considered themselves as Macedonians, and fought for Macedonia, so even if I want, I can't be anything but Macedonian, because all my ancestors were Macedonians! Please try to understand...
