Ulster is traditionally composed of nine counties: three of which are part of the Republic of Ireland with the remaining six constituting Northern Ireland. The Irish are Catholics, the British invaded and they were protestant. Northern Ireland has 6 of the 9 counties of Ulster. 'Gaelic Football' & 'Hurling' are our national sports and take place in Croke Park, Dublin...In 1919, British forces opened fire on the crowd at a Gaelic football match in Croke Park in north Dublin, killing 14 civilians to regain control in the capital.
