Futureproof was formed in 2002 by Record Producer Phil Legg who has worked with a wide range of artists including Terence Trent D'Arby, Neneh Cherry, Depeche Mode, Sade, the Rolling Stones, Erasure and the Pasadenas as well as remixing for De La Soul, Eternal, PM Dawn, Lisa Stansfield, and many others.

The company was for Phil a response to the phenomenal changes that have swept through the music Industry in recent years. The evolving face of the Internet has now enabled musicians and producers to control all aspects of their creative output streamlining what used to be a very difficult and inefficient process.

Starting as an award winning club night in Notting Hill a profile was developed, and things soon lead on to memorable nights at well know London venues like Brick Lane's '93 Feet East' and the city's premier style establishment 'The Great Eastern Hotel'.

The label was launched in 2003 with the release of the United State track 'All My Love (goes your way)' featuring the Godfather of UK Hip-Hop Rodney P. It received much critical acclaim with 'Record of the Month' in specialist music papers Echoes & DJ Magazine.

Seeing a hole in the market for reliable independent distribution and effective marketing, Futureproof moved into these areas with great success and attracted other companies to use their fast growing operations. Phil also recognised the shift away from record sales being the predominant income stream within the industry and developed Futureproof Music in order to offer a 'one stop shop' (in terms of rights ownership) to the growing percentage of emerging markets like Ringtones, Sync licensing for Film and Advert plus computer games.

Over the past two years we have been developing our marketing and distribution and now have a comprehensive network covering the whole of the UK.

For both distribution and marketing we deal in Urban, Hip-Hop, RnB, Electronica and all Dance genres in both vinyl and CD formats.

The marketing campaigns are individually tailored to fit each client and include regular informative reports on all aspects of the campaign containing information collected from our very detailed DJ, Press and Radio lists.

Marketing includes:

· Independent Local Radio (ILR)

· All specialist national radio
