I can't believe those kids are that young!", is what you'll likely hear at a Fusion Beat show. Though the eight members of this teen band range in age from 13 to 16 years old, these talented young musicians play well beyond their age. They have been influenced by many of the greats from the 70's and 80's, including Van Halen, Bon Jovi and Journey.
These retro style musicians have performed over 45 shows, including main stage entertainment at the Orange International Street Fair, The Orange County Fair, The San Diego Fair, as well as The House of Blues. Their high energy performances of rock n roll and pop classics appeal to audiences of all ages.
The Fusion Beat team consists of the brother-sister duo of Mark and Mary Desmond, along with Sean Walsh, who belt out the vocals and harmonies. The guitars are rocked by Jason Campbell on lead, Robert Guzman on rhythm and Zach Olshan on bass. Michael Gall shines as the keyboardist while Tyler Kong holds it all together on drums. These individuals are truly a fusion of widely different talents, styles and techniques, and wanted their name to reflect that concept.
Fusion Beat was the winner of the Taste of Ladera youth talent contest as well as the St. Timothy's Spring Fling Battle of the Bands. Fusion Beat has a heart for giving back, raising awareness and bringing joy to all who attend their show.
