DuPage County Animal Care & Control is a self-supporting (non taxpayer funded) county department designed to:
-Prevent and control rabies through bite investigation and rabies registration
-Enforce state and county animal control and welfare laws
-Operate a shelter for stray and owner-relinquished non-native animals
-Adopt unwanted animals to responsible homes
-Euthanize unwanted animals not suitable for adoption
-Promote responsible pet-ownership and animal welfare through counseling and law enforcement
-Rescue animals that are lost, diseased, injured, or in peril
-Provide public education programs for adults and children.
