@Galeros - I do agree with that, but the problem is most//many/some players will need a nudge in the right direction - it helps if there are rules that actively encourage participation in something other than combat.

Silverstein's whole schtick about why he wasn't where he was every morning of the year has the distinct air of a practised story about it. I certainly wouldn't buy a used car from that man.

My campaigns are story heavy, and my players smart. Wishes (on the rare times they are available) tend to be hellishly clever and aimed at steering the story in the party's favour.

@RhoadesTallyn That's wasn't really general supersticion - that was people believing doom mongering 'experts' and the press. We were told over and over by the media Y2K might indeed 'happen'. There would be nothing supersticious in believing them - more gullibility.
