About this user

Folasade Scott is a 31-year old African-American woman, born and raised in California in a single-parent, Christian household. Despite her upbringing, she lived a double-minded life--praying, going to church, and even witnessing to her friends, but also lying, stealing, and fornicating. The latter was not obvious to most people, especially at church. Her reasons for behaving this way reaches back into her childhood where she first became acquainted with rejection, fear, and abuse by way of her father. This began to breed confusion in her mind about love, relationships, faith in God, and even about her identity. She questioned her beauty and worth throughout her childhood and adolescent years, becoming obsessed by the beauty of girls and women, which led to an indulgence into homosexuality for several years. This struggle with her identity is what God used to radically reveal Himself to her. Ten years have passed since she became born again and she now travels the states and beyond sharing her testimony of God's love and power to heal and restore our Identity.

Folasade is a spoken Word artist, a writer, a teacher, and the founder and president of Violent Faith Ministries International Inc., a ministry that specializes in ministering healing and restoration to sexually and relationally broken people and fostering the expression of their God-given Identity and Purpose. She has a bachelor's degree in American Studies, with an emphasis in Educational Psychology and the arts, from the University of California, Berkeley. She has had the privilege of being mentored by several leaders of the Faith such as her mother, Anana Scott, who was her first pastor and laid and modeled an authentic Christian foundation, Dr. Patricia Bailey-Jones, a prominent missionary and founder of Master's Touch Ministries (www.mtmintl.org), Vera Speed, a mighty leader and teacher of intercessory prayer and prophetic healing ministry and founder City Reachers International, and her pastor, Dr. Gerald Agee. Folasade currently makes her home in Metro Atlanta, Georgia, USA. She is a remote-member of Friendship Christian Center located in Oakland, California, USA, pastored by Dr. Gerald Agee.
