Yes indeed, I remember catching this show when it was broadcast in early 1974 before Kurt Winter and Donnie McDougall left the band. The Guess Who actually hosted this show!

First thank you Lil for posting this! viscg60, I was there too wearing our home made BC t-shirts. We got in line about 4 PM and they let us in at 6:30. Yes, it was a great concert where Burton launched his American Tour!

Lil, you did a great job in capturing Burton and the Frogs! It so cool to be able to see yourself standing at the stage just feet away from Canada's Gift To Rock 'n' Roll!

@ladycadaver69 I saw him in 1971, 1973, 1974, 1975, 2001, and 2002 all with TGW. I am hoping to see him this July 2nd at Mohegan Sun. It will be my first live show without any GW members, just Burton Cummings, "Canada's Gift To Rock 'n' Roll"! Oh, and the Frogs too.

I believe Burton has said he and Randy wrote the song in about 20 minutes on a ferry to Vancouver. If I remember correctly.

Both Winter and Wallace were in the band Brother before joining The Guess Who. Kurt joined June 1970 and Bill in early 1972. Obviously, this was another song Winter and Wallace composed earlier, like Hand Me Down World and Bus Rider.

At the 50 second mark of the film it looks like the driver, Greer, looks back and has a pistol in his hand and then Kennedy's front part of his head is blown away.

Chad Allan and Randy Bachman formed a group called Brave Belt after Bachman left TGW. Allan was never in BTO. Burton is saying on his site that he is definitely touring the US in 2011. I had tickets to a show near Boston this year but it was canceled. My favorite GW song is Albert Flasher.

@17865329 Kale and Peterson wrote or co-wrote songs less than the fingers on one hand in their careers. They have been riding Bachman, Cummings, and Winter's coattails forever. Sharp was 5 years old when this song was a hit!
