Personally I think her Elphaba reminds me of the original Witch of the West from the film, which is fantastic. The final notes in this are amazing and she is truly fantastic at the riffs. I like this version and Kerry has a beautiful, pure voice but I feel that it lacks something. For me, Elphaba has to have an attitude of defiance and i just don't see this in Kerry's face - but it could just be this performance and this is only my opinion. I saw these two last august and they were truly amazing. Prior to seeing it I was convinced no one could compare to Idina and Kristen but I must admit that these two came a close second. Enjoyed it so much that I am frantically trying to get tickets for next week for my friend and I.

This is good, and there is no denying her riffs are amazing, but I think that she strays from the melody too much in places. She is clearly a fantastic singer but I just think the songs are so strong and so well known that trying to stray from them too much ultimately doesn't work. To be honest, ...

Absolutely amazing. I saw Chess a few months ago and only thought it was ok but now that I listen back the songs in it are fantastic. Ellis simply incredible in this, so emotional it gives me chills. My new favourite song from the musical.
