Not mentioned, but you always heat the metal you're soldering to melt the solder - you don't heat the solder itself. You rely on the heat of the object (wire, what-have-you...) to melt the easily melted solder to get a better connection.

I dont get the spyderco appeal. The blade is shaped like a spade on playing cards. It's too damn wide. And for a hundred dollar knife the Sage is($150. on the titanium ver), it aint made in the USA. Cripes, a $30 Kershaw Skyline is(wash state), so don't tell me it costs 40% more./ is un-doable
