I've always wondered why Jansch recorded his instrumental as a cover of MacColl's song, I always thought it was original enough to stand on it's own as an original, but I guess that shows integrity by Jansch. Nice to hear lyrics put to Jansch's version... I can understand if people not acquainte...

@darrenMiddle I agree, I think you're right about ego, according to the BBC Folk Britannia documentary he didn't have much good to say about any of the 60s folk musicians either (neither British or American). He did write some good songs though, and left a legacy.
