Hi! Here's some stuff about me:
I am a band geek. Absolutely no doubt about it. I love being in my high school band and playing my instrument. What instrument do you ask? Well, it depends on what my director needs me to play. I started out, and still play, on my clarinet. I played that for both marching and concert season for about a year, until my band director suggested I play the bass clarinet for the concert season. Making this switch wasn't hard because it was the same fingerings and such, it was just a lot bigger, and I would play with the low brass instead of the woodwinds. Again, not a hard switch. So I would play the B flat clarinet for marching season and I would switch to playing the bass clarinet for concert season. I did this for only a year when my director asked me to play the Tenor saxophone for the next marching season. I opposed at first, but decided that since he really needed me to play it I would. I became quite proud of the fact that I learned to play the Tenor in a 2 month summer. However, that marching season would've been better if the Tenor wasn't so heavy, but my reward was that I would play my B flat clarinet for that marching season. So, that is my instrumental past up until this point. I will be playing the Tenor Sax again for this coming marching season. We will be playing a Pirates of the Carribean show this year. It's gonna be so much fun!!
Did I mention that I'm a John Williams fan? What!? You don't know who John Williams is? He did the scores for the Indiana Jones movies, Jaws, and Schindlers List. Heck, people, he created the Star Wars score along with Memoirs of a Geisha and the first 3 Harry Potter movies! Just about most of the Spielberg movies and also, not to mention, his work with George Lucas! -sigh- Will I ever get through to people how awesome he is?
Oh, I forgot to mention my autographed picture of the genius! Yup, I've got one!! I will not say that I know everything about him, because I don't, but I do admire him and his work.
