I'm a high school student interested in evolutionary biology and animal behavior. I'm also an avid amateur astronomer and passionate about the public understanding of science and skepticism. Many of you have wondered who has been my greatest intellectual influence. The answer to that isn't as simple as you might have liked. In terms of biology, I'm quite fond of Charles Darwin and George C. Williams. In the larger picture, I've always enjoyed the work of Mark Twain and T. S. Elliot. In addition, R. A. Fisher, Paul Dirac, Richard Feynman, Stephen Hawking, M. C. Escher, Michael Shermer, Richard Dawkins, Immanuel Kant, David Hume, Baruch Spinoza, Søren Kierkegaard, Jean-Paul Sartre, Jacques Monad, James Watson, Christopher Hitchens, Richard Dawkins, Edward O. Wilson, Sam Harris, Brian Cox, Carl Sagan, Thomas Paine, Émilie du Châtelet, Eugenie C. Scott, Marie Currie, J. B. S. Haldane, Robert Trivers, Lawrence Krauss, Ernst Mayr, and John Maynard Smith have shaped my worldview.
