FlyPeople

The FlyPeople is a fun-loving, booty-shakin' dance group at Vassar College that aims to move its groove thang while entertaining people in the process. Combining jazz, hip-hip, modern, and lyrical dance the group is entirely student run and varies in its focus semester to semester, depending on its members. Auditions are held at the beginning of each semester and the number of members is kept at around 30. Dancers do not have to have had years of rigorous technique, but more importantly a presence and vivacity when performing. Committment is once a week on Sundays and weekly as needed closer to performances. There is at least one performance per semester, with occaisonal guest appearances at other events.
