This was an absolute DELIGHT to watch! What happy birds & an awesome trainer! This is a great example of how birds can be trained without forcing them to work for every bite of food. They appear to have been trained solely on their natural instincts - to explore & to flock. There is no sign of begging, food dependency or the desperation you see with birds that are forced to work for their food. In fact if you look closely at each bird, they all have full crops - a couple have very full crops! You can tell this gentleman has spent hours bonding with the flock & building trust without using food deprivation. The birds appear to enjoy every second of the show & clearly adore him. Bravo!!!!!

Martin describes his practice routine. May 1999 (Still 5) How often do you practice? "Well pretty much, alot. Like, I'll tell you our schedule. It's like, Monday's, if we practiced on Sunday, I have off; and Tuesday's I practice because that's the day before my lesson. And then Wednesdays I have my lessons with my teacher, Mary Jo. And Thursdays I practice and Fridays I'm off. And then Saturdays is a Big practice, and then Sundays I could be off or on.
