The Flower Kings was born in 1994 when Roine Stolt (formally of Kaipa, Fantasia, Transatlantic, Tangent) released the solo record The Flower King. More than ten years later, the band is still going strong with the virtuoso talents of Tomas Bodin, (keyboards), Jonas Reingold (bass guitar), Hasse Froberg (voice and guitar), drummer Erik Hammarström and vocalist, keyboardist, guitarist, Ola Heden.
The Flower Kings have been hailed as "The Yes of the new Millenium!"
