About this user

The Fisher Ensemble produces new work that stretches the boundaries of music, theater, and movement. Led by Artistic Director Garrett Fisher, the ensemble has produced Fisher's works for over 10 years.

Fisher's work incorporates such instruments as Indian harmonium, oboe, English horn, cello, recorded sounds, as well as an extensive percussion (Japanese Taiko, gongs). He works with vocalists, actors, choreographers, directors, film-makers, writers, and designers to create full-evening works that are ritualistic, mythical, intuitive, and imaginative.

The Fisher Ensemble has recorded on BIS and 16 Visions Records, and is sponsored by GlobalArts, a 501c3 organization that nutures the living arts.
