The longest monitor ever recorded was a water monitor at 11foot, the biggest crocodile monitor wasn't even 9ft. Water monitors are the longest lizards, and komodo dragons are the heaviest.

@ihatewonders My point was that I don't need them to do that stuff anymore, so I dont see why breeding for domestic pets is worse than breeding for hunting etc. sure it's not for everyone, a dog is not for everyone. A dog should not be kept in a flat and not walked, I still think that dogs should...

What size is the setup you have? I have a spare 36 x 24 x 24 inch viv and my boyfriend would love one of these so I would like to get him one. Would you say thats big enough for just one? I was told 6 foot at the store but they don't get that big do they?
