My horses are living with us since September 08. They are barefoot.
As horses do enjoy eating so much, they do get all their food - hay, oats, carrots, etc. to eat undisturbed. I do not use any kind of clicker training, food rewards or handfeeding.
I find inspiration from various sources. I am learning by experimenting and watching my horses. After having looked into many ways of horsehandling, I have started following the way of Bill Dorrance and Leslie Desmond to release the horses and am working on developping that better feel.
Our German Pinscher Lady was born in March 2008. When teaching a dog some ideas are the same as for horses, but while horses are grazing animals, dogs are hunters. Even among dog breeds, there are big differences. With a Pinscher one has an active, independently hunting dog, as they were bred to hunt rats, which is not done in a pack. So I am responsible of being more fun and rewarding than hunting a mouse.
