Im in total pain layin there in a hopeless state, Wishin the fear of death would go away, Feelin weak and numb from my shoulder blades to the bones in my waist, To remain calm i keep tellin myself a soldiers brave, but there's no hope in tryin cuz Im slowly dying and there's no escape, Im alone and frightened, I cant move an inch, my motions ache, I chose to pray, Wonderin if god would greet me at heaven with opened gates, Its my time to die, Im going today, And all the bad things i've did i hope he forgave, I wanna go see my fate, So I close my eyes and ask god to show me the way...
But right before my life escapes me I see vivid pictures of my wife and baby, It was quite amazing, I could see my loved ones faces smiling vaguely, But the light is hazy and I feel an essence try to raise me, The sight is crazy, My spirit is rising greatly and it feels like a vibrant daydream, No more ppl trying to save me, No more fightin daily, No more violent day scenes, cuz im in gods hands wonderin where he might just take me, I say goodbye to the life that shaped me, My time is fading, and the last glimpse I see is a shine embrace me...
