DTP over the past few months....
Just some shrapnel lying around from the past few months... plus our 'silent' deconstruction jam the other day at Dirks house.
Just saw DTP one week ago today in Poughkeepsie, NY and it was fucking awesome, as usual. Wish it didn't have to end.

@TheBraingang Just curious if you even bothered researching before opening your mouth? Astral Sleep is a Finnish Doom Metal band. Try searching Astral Sleep Angel and listen to their song posted by their guitarist/vocalist. Definitely not this song.

It's a German band called Tears of Passion.
Please hit this with lots of thumbs ups so it stays in the "Top Comments" and ends any controversy about the two artists. It's still a good song, but sounds nothing like Peter's voice or Type O's music.

Christopher Cross- Arthur's Theme (The Best That You Can Do)
I know that when most people think 80s, this song doesnt come to mind since its more of a soft rock song, but its an all-time favorite of mine, so ...
Great song from an equally great movie during a great decade. RIP Dudley Moore. It's too bad they had to ruin such a great masterpiece by remaking it. And even worse, with that unfunny piece of shit Russel Brand as Arthur.

Criss Oliva didn't get to enjoy his fame nearly long enough. Six years isn't nearly enough time for someone with his talent. Kind of reminds me someone like Jimi Hendrix or Randy Rhoads. I'm not comparing styles or abilities. They each had their own distinct abilities and an equally passionate fa...

@cheezepye LOL, it was the Tom and Jerry version that made me come looking. I knew it was a Liszt tune but couldn't remember the name so I googled it as "Tom and Jerry concert song" and got the name.

Not sure why this song is always listed as "Irish Drinking Song" The real name is "Andy Renwick's Ferret," written by Gordon Duncan who is Scottish. This is a great version but a little slower than Gordan played it. Check out his version to hear him play it. Gordon liked to show off how fast he c...

@TheSeaSergeant In actuality, the very first known bagpipes are from around 1000 B.C. in northern Persia in the Middle East. They most likely spread east and west from there. Almost every European country has their own version of the pipes. The Celts continued the traditions while playing and car...

@cheeseatsmouse LOL, I made the mistake of wearing a white Rangers jersey to this show since they had just won the Stanley Cup. Needless to say, it was never white again. Wish I got to play in the mud with Trent though.

@jspvenom LOL, that long wait for them to play was brutal. I wandered to the other stage to watch Primus and came back to see NIN. Best "free" show ever, hehe.

nine inch nails - Something I Can Never Have (live)
Woodstock =D
Ahh, talk about memories. I was in that mud pit in '94. Waited forever for NIN to play after Crosby, Stills, and Nash finished. They had a special person coming to announce them and he was late. Anyone remember Larry "Bud" Melman on Letterman? He announced NIN. I got bored waiting and went to wat...

@shipplewitz112 I think it's kind of funny that pickles, the drummer complete with Canadian accent, is so clearly modeled after Devin.
