Sorry meant ro reply sooner. Got my 1884 out of the shop (they had it for close to 3mnths)!! But basically I had to replace the firewire chip. cost close to $300.00!!! Was reluctant to do it but since they charged to look at it I may as well finish paying for it! all is well now tho so..
