I'm cautious of true democracy for it is the rule of the majority, or rule of the mob. Republics, as you know, are the rule of law. If we the people would simply hold our elected officials accountable for their actions, our country would be much better off.

Instead, too many of us are distracted by the myriad of entertainment outlets to see what's happening. Like Rome, our country is rotting from the inside out.

The flaw/success of any republic is the required vigilance of the people. Much like relationship between a gardener and his garden, if he doesn't pull out the weeds by the roots, his garden will soon be overrun and produce nothing but snakes.

It's time to do a little weeding. This "two-party system" is corrupt. We need new blood in Washington. Before it's too late.

Yeah. Im kind of embarassed about my "bats have no eyes" comment...:) I've been corrected on it a few times now, but anyway, thanks for studying bats, I think they are really cool, even if they do have eyes:)
