Hi, buzz. I live in Juárez, and I listen to your show every morning. I like it a lot. But I feel I must adress the "no more weapons" story. Ok, first of all, nobody is saying that the violence in Juárez is all the United States' fault, but you are a big part of it, you are still the #1 drug consuming country in the world. And the United States government allows for the cartels to acquire weapons very easily. Also, that Julio guy is an idiot. The violence had already started before Calderón declare war to the cartels. This was all product of the PRI party, who for 70 years protected all these drug administrations. Even today they are still cooperating with them, their candidate for the next elections(Peña Nieto) is linked to several drug cartels. And Calderón is not one of the worst presidents México has ever had, let me remind him the 12,000% inflation México had during the previous administrations compared to 4% with the current one. Not to mention that the GDP went from 3000 dollars to 8,300. Also, the national debt went from 60% in the 80s to 9% today. And México entered to the OECD(in which the members are the 34 richest nations in the world).Yes, innocent people have died in this war, including my uncle, but this is a war, and I don't know about you but I've never heard of wars were innocent people don't die.
