@yankolvich recruit enough assassins (i think its 5 or 6) and u will get 3 assassin slots....when all 3 are full press and hold the button with which u call the assassins and it will kill everyone on screen

Actually it seems that u cant (at least i couldnt)keep the staff after u kill him...However u can finish the quest (side with the elves)and meet him at the camp...once there just kill him (takes a while)and get his ring/staff/money :)
(this works and the quest isnt effected by it)

@manciuxl1 actually it makes the game a bit easier to play as well as more tactical and more of an RPG which is propably what the developers aimed for...in the console versions there is the tactics and the planning ahead but its more like an A-RPG which is propably why reviewers give the pc versi...
