@DorotheasFavs thank you, well if it's any help, i only used 2 strands of yarn, and did the method of crossing 1 piece of yarn over the other (making a cross) and beginning the braid that way. my first and only time adding braid extensions to my hair.

Yarn Braids Update

@PackofDiscos IKR?! uggghh...lol. .for some the take down is super easy, and for others it isn't..maybe it depends on hair length and texture? but DEFINITELY make sure you cut the braids 1-2 inches from the length of your hair, and you can pull the yarn to unravel until you can't unravel anymore....
