You know how sometimes you have crazy ideas that you think might work, but at the same time might not, and yet you keep going with them because you think "What the hell?" and hope for the best?
Well, this is it for me.
I'd been considering making a project like this for some time until I came across a couple of songs that pretty much begged me to add them to something like this (especifically, "Tubthumping" for Jack and "Changes" for the regeneration).
I'm just sad that, try as I might, I couldn't make this under 7 minutes long, which for me is way too much for a vid. But I just didn't want to cut anything!!!!
I'm pretty sure this will come back to haunt me, but so far I'm happy with my decision.
I've been trying to find a way to honor Ten and his years after "The End of Time", and this felt like a nice way of doing it. Hopefully, I've made him justice.
If any of you saw my preview, then you'll notice I kept Nine. ;)
He had such favorable reactions (MUCH love for everyone who commented! Seriously, I can't thank you enough) and I just loved him so much in it that I couldn't just cut him. And, in fact, this turned out to be a very good decision once I managed to figure out an ending for his "B plot", which made a pretty good ending for the vid itself.
I liked it so much that I'm accepting it as my new personal canon now: when the Doc regenerates, his older self isn't gone, he just stays home and watches his current self on the TV. ;)
OH! And one more thing: some of the song choices here are not meant to be taken seriously. Well, most of them. Probably all of them, but still!
For instance, I just can't take "All by myself" seriously (I can't be the only one!). I kind of laugh whenever I hear it because it's just soooo cheesy.
(And if I hear it again within the next 48 hours MY HEAD WILL EXPLODE!!!)
I tried to make it a humorous vid more than anything, so I hope you'll enjoy it.

::4th Place in HeavenlyMasquerade's First AMV Contest::
This is my fifth AMV, as well as my first AU AMV. In this song, we hear of a man who was unjustly imprisoned for years simply due to the fact he could not give his alibi...for, on the night of the crime, he is with his lover, his best friend's wife. In my AU Tutu version of the story, the tale goes similarly...the man is a young writer who is in love with a princess married to his best friend, a prince, who writes fairy tales based on his experiences and his thoughts while held in prison far from his home. Gray-toned shot are flashbacks, and sepia-toned are the stories the writer, Fakir, writes throughout this time (and also, in one instance, a dream he has).
And yeah, little things...I did have to cut the song short, as the normal instrumental at the end just lasts forever, and I mean that in an affectionate way. I also did a very silly thing and made Autor the bailiff...well, his lips fit the words and he worked in the scenes! That, and he does sort of fit the uptight person role, although he does it quite sexily. X3
