That would be kinda sad.. The size of the dog doesnt rly matter, that truly is a misconception. It's the time u spend on the dog that makes the difference with an active breed. ACD's can be great in an apartment, as long as u give it exercise:)

You really shouldn't crop any dogs' tail's nowadays. They were cropped back in the day so they tails wouldn't get hurt pulling carts and farm equipment(getting caught in the mechanism's/joints). You don't need dogs to do that anymore. And to be honest i personally have some issue...

@aawk71 Just wanted to make a comment here.. They score number 10(out of 140 or so) on the "official" list of dog intelligence, so they are by definition some of the easiest dogs to train. You just need to match their energy :)
