After I became an Atheist, my dad told me that while he still lived in Egypt he did not DARE say anything against Islam because he was sure that he would be ostracised and be killed, so he considers me lucky that we live in Canada that gave us all the freedom to choose, he moved here during the 50s, now it's even worse in Egypt... I bet many Arabs only fear death so they do not speak up! That's the sad part!!

I hope more people in the Middle East become like you. Even in Israel one can witness today a significant rise of religion, which I find quite worrysome.People like us need to get better organized. It's time for us to develop a new political platform on a national and internation level. The sooner the better. Otherwise it might be too late.
