In the movie version of Suddenly Last Summer by Tennessee Williams (screenplay by Gore Vidal), Violet Venable attempts to bribe a neurosurgeon with offers of a new hospital wing if he will lobotomize her neice Catherine, who is spreading wild stories about her late Son, Sebastian. She describes Catherine's stories as "dreadful, obscene babblings... Fantastic delusions and fantastic babblings of an unspeakable nature."
The only problem is, Catherine is telling the truth.
