Funny Videos from a former wwf fan

My dailymotion channel has alot of family guy, american dad and cleveland show videos.

Paul Heyman:
"MMA answers some very interesting questions,
Who are these two guys?
Why are they fighting?
and Why should i care?
if you can answer those three questions..
you'll sell a ticket or a pay-per-view.
If you can't answer the questions,
who's gonna buy it?
And wrestling has become so convoluted because everybody tries to out-think themselves.
-oh, we need to put more reality into this-
or
-oh let's talk about behind the scenes so people think we're breaking down the walls-
why..?
Here's an interesting character
Here's another interesting character
What would happen if these two guys actually had a match?
wow i'm intrigued, i'd like to watch that."

you may have already seen this by me, but I have a lot of videos comparing ufc and wwe, they basically have the exact same business model

Thanks for the support my friend. Overeem is already officially released from strikeforce, there was a dispute between the zuffa/strikeforce and his management regarding the date he would fight in the HWGP, so he was released. Soon after the UFC resigned him to a UFC exclusive contract, so he isnt in strikeforce any longer. The UFC claims strikeforce is seperate but its only a matter of time before it is absorbed into the ufc just like pride and the wec, it doesn't make business sense to run to organizations, they are just waiting for strikeforces contract with shotime to run out.

Me too. As for WWE, I'll probably stop watching after Wrestlemania if The Rock gets beat which most likely he will.

The way storylines are built up to the short matches to the overbooking such as all the run-ins and brawls to the cheesy backstage skits, it's almost always followed the same pattern. You can credit Vince Russo for that. Only ROH is the promotion I know that follows a different pattern which is emphasis on the matches and storylines taking a backseat. Wrestling needs to evolve if it is to have another boom period but with the advent of the internet, I doubt this industry is gonna keep me interested with all the opinions of smarks and too much access into their backstage shenanigans. Batman on the other hand, doesn't give much insider info on their comic book issues or movies which is why the mystique can never be killed.

Unlike the wrestling business, The Dark Knight, which has been around since the 30s has constantly evolved. Like anything in life, it's had its highs and lows but for every low such as the campy 60s TV series or the crappy Joel Schumacher films, the franchise has always gotten back bigger, better and DARKER than ever. I believe Batman is now the most popular superhero in the world. Not Superman, Spiderman or even Captain America. The movie grosses speak for themselves. I think wrestling is now in a standstill. From the territories in the 60s and 70s (even earlier) it reinvented itself in the 80s as mainstream family entertainment and had another boom period in the 90s with the edgy Attitude Era. Since then nothing has changed. Only the rating changed to PG but everything else has stayed the same.

I read all your comments and I have to say the bit about Batman was my fave. I think you're the only 1 in YouTube who shares probably 95% of my views and I'm just grabbing that number from my rear end. I get along with a lot of people here but there's lots of things even they disagree with me about.

Just because we never ran a promotion, it doesn't mean we fans are automatically smarks because we complain the same way you don't have to be a filmmaker to know what a good film is. Either you like it or you don't and sometimes what you express is more than an opinion. Sometimes what you're saying is painfully obvious. The customer is always right and as the ones buying WWE's crap, we deserve better and shouldn't settle for less.

You are 100% right and I fully agree. I couldn't have said it any better. From 2009-2010, when Pg was in full effect, I loathed that rating so much because it was so campy with all the guest hosts and their unfunny skits. But when The Rock and Stone Cold returned, add to that CM Punk's rants, I realized PG doesn't have to be mean corny and PG can be edgy. Not only is it good for business, I think WWE needs to go this direction. No more overtly sexual storylines or blade jobs. Loved the Attitude Era but I don't miss some of the over-the-top BS like Mae Young giving birth to a hand. Today's storylines, though a bit better, are still pretty half-assed and you're right, NITRO WAS PG. RAW IS WAR I believe only became TV-14 in 1999 or 2000. So WWE needs a lot of work or fans like you and me can quit for good.

Just take your time bro. All I'm saying is I wish I could enjoy wrestling the way I do TV shows and movies. I watch a movie and I am very much into the storylines. I feel involved and empathize with the characters or not if they're the antagonists. In wrestling, I'm enjoying it for all the wrong reasons. Instead of enjoying a show for what it is and rooting for my favorite "characters", I am rooting for the "performers", like what the fuck is that??? Back in the day I was happy when Stone Cold whoop MR. McMahon's ass because the McMahon character deserved it. Now I want guys like CM Punk and Daniel Bryan to win matches not because I care much for the characters they play but because the wrestlers (Phil Brooks and Bryan Danielson) "deserve pushes" because they've worked their asses off in ROH and other indies. How silly is that?!!
