Well I love Mangas and I read a lot of them. I am more the Manga type than the Anime type. I can recommend Black Cat, Death Note, Demon Diary, Black Butler, Paradisekiss, Angel Sanctuary, Personal Paradise, Galism and Gezieltes Verlangen (Sorry I don't know the English titel), The Royal Doll Orchestra, Wonderful Wonder World, Rozen Maiden, Chobits, Magic Knight Rayearth, Angel Diary, In The End, Bleach, Card Captor Sakura and Vampire Knight. Of course I know many more but I guess that's enough for the moment ;) Some of this are old ones ^^" Maybe you wont like this old style of Mangas. I'm old that's why I know and like them xD. But most of the Mangas are not old :)
But definitely TWEWY if the government decides NOT to break the internet 8D

But this picture is a good one, it has a dark, gloomy atmosphere and I like pictures like that.
You seem to have a complicated family history.
My grandparents also had to survive really dark parts of history. Thankfully my parents hadn't.
I still learn more and more about my family history, I don't know everything yet.
