Fairfield Auction of Newtown, Connecticut is one of the largest auction galleries in New England. Having set a world record for a Native American artifact in 2008 with the sale of an early Tlingit warrior helmet for $2,185,000, Fairfield Auction became only the fourth auctioneer in the country to exceed $2,000,000 on an antique. They also garnered national headlines in 2005 with the sale of the Michael Martucci collection of Tiffany glass which grossed over $350,000. In 2004 the sale of a centaur weathervane for $253,000 (then, the third highest price for a weathervane) helped establish Fairfield Auction in the industry.
