Noor's voice only got better and better with time and age. Khawaja Sb.marhoom was a bit insecured in his later age and said such things about Noor out of jealousy as he was out of work and Noor was busier than ever. The song was originally sung by Late Madam Noor Jehan in Bombay for film Dost . The composition by Sajjad Hussain, one of the most respected music directors of India.

This is not ghazal. It's a geet in slow tempo. Naushad Sb ko kia ho gaya, he is himsel a very good poet and has published a book of his ghazals, and yet he is calling this geet a ghazal!

This is Samina Ahmed. The song is in the voice of Azra Riaz, now Azra Salamat? can somebody confirm pl? I don't thjink Babra Sharif was in this play. It was debut of Marhooma tahira Naqvi, if I am not forgetting.

lovehumanity, you didn't answer the third and the most important question: Was Chishti called to India in 1956 to record songs in Geeta Dutt's voice???? Or the songs were recorded pre-partition when Chishti was in Bombay? If so, the movie must have a different title back then and renamed Miss 56 ...

This must not be a mere coincidence that first film songs of three top singers - Mala, Runa Laia, and Naheed Akhtar - were picturised on Deeba, the Mona Lisa. Some credit must be given to Deeba for popularising then new but excellent singers.

This Ghazal was originaly sung by Madam Noor Jehan in 1945 movie Badi Maan. Begum Akhtar never sang it to my knowledge.

I am sure music direcor is Nashad, and not his son Wajid Ali Nashad who debuted with Parastish around 1979 will all songs by Mehnaz.

Is this the only Madam's song in Dushman, babbibaba? Flute ka kitna khoobsoorat istaimal kia hai Bazmi marhoom ne iss song mein, and has topped it with mandolin occasionally.

Dushman ke sub songs mein best one is Madam's Teray Naam kar Doon. A very close 1st runner-up is Runa's Janay Walay Ne yeh Bhee Na Socha. Do you agree, babbibaba?
