I hate how people keep trying to compare games that have very little in common. Skyrim is basically fallout but Witcher is made for strict purpose of placing the gamer into the world of the game - a REAL RPG. Both are good games, why choose between them, just get both.

You will need defense as you progress through the game because regardless of how well you allocate your skills, the opponents will grow in strength at a faster rate so your engagements will become harder and hard...

Dude dual wielding sucks. Before level 30 its fun but at higher levels your opponents become too strong, you will need defense or they will kill you in seconds.
