The problem with that is that nobody would even know your ideas existed unless you put the time into it. You can say "It shares ideas!" but it won't help when nobody watches or listens.

It's why people charge $50 to do funny charactatures or compete in contests in music and arts, their art has value, and they know it. They can totally give their things away but it doesn't fill the void of lost time, effort, and creativity. Only the publishers, producers, etc. decide the worth in the media however.

Hi, I'm sorry to hear that your previous channel closed, although the name of your new one prompted me to have a look. I love Kwaidan. My favourite was probably the story about Hoichi the Earless. I think old school Japanese horror is gold. I'm also interested in a lot of other cinema. (There are some good American films - for instance, The Station Agent - but I agree, they can be hard to find.) I would love to have an opportunity to chat about good films with people as I don't know many people - well, anyone, really - who shares my taste, although usually there is some overlap at some point or another.
Art might not make money, but it can give you a reason to live, and money won't always do that. ^^
