Faction Film is an award winning production company based in Norway.
Over the years, Faction Film has produced a wide range of documentary films. We shed light on stories of human interest, and on social- and cultural issues from Scandinavia and other corners and back alleys of the world.
2008 was a busy year for Faction Film. The documentary A Beautiful Tragedy, from Russia, received acclaim from around the world, and was nominated for best documentary at the 2008 Amanda Awards. The documentary four part series Abrahams Children - Lovers and Neighbours in the Middle East premiered nationally, May 21st to critical acclaim, and is now facing international distribution.
The film Big John won the Amanda Award for best theatrical documentary in 2008. It premiered nation-wide in theatres on August 22nd. In late September it won the Best Documentary Prize at Nordic Panorama in Malmö.
We are presently developing and producing a number of films for an international market.
