About this user
Fun With Napalm was formed in 1991 in St Louis, Missouri by founding member and guitarist, Rob. Their early influences were hardcore bands such as SOD, MOD, and DRI. The early 90's were pre-internet, so the norm was to shop tapes to radio stations and labels as often and as annoyingly as possible. They wound up having serious interest by both radio stations and the labels, but before they could ink a deal, the drummer quit. Being unable to find a replacement, along with St Louis suddenly becoming unreceptive to the hardcore scene, they finally disbanded in 1994. Over the years Rob tried unsuccessfully to relaunch the band, but in 2007 all that changed. Rob teamed up with drummer Ron, they found bassist David, then added Bobby on mic and the band was resurrected like never before. Fun With Napalm is now back and sounding better than ever. They are of the same mind in what their music should sound like and have added a political edge to it. Music of all genres drive them and their influences are everything from old bands such as The Dead Kennedys and Iron Maiden to newer bands such as Behind Enemy Lines and I Stabbed My Landlord. They practice twice a week and are writing as much as possible; usually 1-2 new songs each week. They're currently interested in broadening their fanbase and are in talks concerning a tour. They are playing constantly now and again are generating serious label interest. Fun With Napalm can be found on MySpace at www.myspace.com/funwithnapalm.
