To me, personally, it sounds less about relationships and more about pondering on mortality and the banality present in life. It's some heavy shit. It has a very Morissey way about it indeed, from the detached and yet emotional vocals and lyrics to the general melody.

I wouldn't say Max Bemis is the best musician ever, but he's definitely my favorite and one of the best in my book. He's, to me, also one of the most creative and most original of this generation.
