As anyone will tell you Pink Floyd are one of the all time great British rock bands who recorded and released albums between the years 1967 and 1995. The band was originally formed by Syd Barrett alongside Richard Wright, Roger Waters and Nick Mason. Following the departure of Barrett in 1968 guitarist David Gilmour joined the band.
Many key rock albums followed over the next thirty years and as such Pink Floyd became one of the biggest bands in the world

Fink Ployd are one of the leading tribute bands in the UK paying tribute as the name implies to Pink Floyd.
The band based in the North West of England were formed in 2008 and rehearsed for just over a year before playing their first concert. Since that time the band have played more than twenty concerts to an ever growing fan base that has grown alongside the band and are known as Ploydians!

Amongst the concerts the band has played are sold out gigs at The Ritz in Manchester and The famous Cavern club in Liverpool. Fink Ployd can play sets which include material from the earliest Syd Barrett phase of the band right the way through to the later period of the bands history when they were led by David Gilmour. The band also performs themed sets built around the key Pink Floyd albums Dark Side Of The Moon and The Wall. They are also able to replicate Pink Floyds live shows with a light show that highlights the bands musical tribute to Pink Floyd therefore giving the audience a true live experience not unlike Pink Floyd!

Fink Ployd have even attracted the attention of Pink Floyds bassist Guy Pratt who commented that the band should sort their name out
After a period of consolidation where the band underwent a number of personnel changes the summer of 2010 will see the band emerge with a new line up ready to perform more gigs which stretch out until the end of 2011.

For a true concert experience that evokes all the emotion and visual aspects of a Pink Floyd concert Fink Ployd have established themselves very quickly in a market that is growing due to the demand of music lovers who want to see the music of their favourite bands played with passion and also technical precision. In their tribute to Pink Floyd, Fink Ployd accomplish this with ease.
