I think Corey Taylor sounds more real. Slipknot's music (atleast the first two albums) is full of anger and agression, Corey's voice's sounds like he is legitimently pissed off! It makes for a better experience when you are angry, and you want to listen to some "Fuck the world, pissed off music"....
