I am a industry professional with twenty seven years as first a stunt performer and later becoming a DGA (Directors Guild of America) 2nd Unit Director and SAG (Screen Actors Guild) Stunt Coordinator. I bring much to the table as far as talent, owning my own stunt, safety equipment rental, sales and fabrication. Making any stunt / action sequence or mechanical gag happen is only limited by your imagination and/or budget.
I also own and operate a Camera Insert Car, Camera Insert Bike and Highspeed Camera Insert Car.
I bring detailed budgets that are exact and cost efficient to your project. They are filled with suggestions, safety concerns, equipment and fabrication cost's. They are at DGA/SAG/AFTRA daily and/or weekly scales for the daily player and the Stunt Coordinator and/or 2nd Unit Director.
My philosophy is to fill the directors idea of how the stunt should look, as it is a team effort and the director is telling the story. A low key, safety first, helpful attitude is best, knowing the line between safety and spectacle.
I also produce a thirteen-page operations manual that answer's questions that some Entertainment Insurance Agents, FAA, ATF and local & state fire officials don't know to ask. I help educate the crew as to what to look for, escape routes and safety concerns. I become the safety valve for the entire crew.
I also have some of the best mechanical gag rigger/imagineers in the business. They can have the math done and gag designed to give you exactly what you want. If you dream it; we will make it happen. Each stunt is diagramed and designed to define the action, as it will happen. From conception to operation, and wrap. All with explicit explanation and budgeting so you know where every dollar goes and why.
I am very respective to budget, as well as very collaborative. I am experienced, yet still very hungry. I have not done every movie; yet have great potential. I know the difference between a television, and a feature film stunt.
I also work well with actors who prefer to perform some of there own stunts. I also know when to let the double work. The stars feel comfortable with me, as I am actor friendly. My ability to cast doubles and stunt actors is unmatched. I try to never rely heavily on make-up prosthetics for any doubles. The doubles I hire know how to imitate the movements and other characteristics of the actor they are doubling.
I do not believe in over kill on stunts. I have the actors collaborate on fight scenes and other stunts; so that I understand what their character is needing to convey to the audience. I also understand when to collaborate with the director as to where to place cameras for the best vantage point of an action shot. The most important thing is safety; everything else is a plus.
I understand that the stunt team members I hire reflect on me as a Director/Coordinator. I only hire stunt performers with crew in mind, and a warm helpful attitude.
I work in Florida, Texas, North Carolina and Los Angeles. I will go where the work is and have worked Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, France, Sardegna, Mexico.
