I recommend you sign up and/or use the storm forecasts from http://ukasf.co.uk/ ~ I have found this site astonishing and as much as I try to make my own forecasts I cannot and do not have experience to beat them
As well as storm forecasts there are snow forecasts and various other stuff you maybe interested in.
