Alvaro Robles
Cineasta independiente y Artista Multidisciplinario.
Durante su trayectoria ha desarrollado pinturas que exploran el inconsciente, los mitos, el chamanismo, las imágenes atávicas dentro de un estilo libre cercano al neoexpresionismo. Ha realizado exposiciones colectivas e individuales de pintura, fotografía, collage, dibujo, instalación y video-instalación. El año 2005 realiza la acción poética e instalación: RITUAL NOOSFERICO Nº1.
Ha escrito numerosos textos que incluyen novelas, poesía, textos experimentales, tambien ha recibido algunos reconocimientos en concursos literarios. Durante el año 2001 publica su primer libro de poemas "Pornography".
En forma paralela ha dirigido numerosos cortometrajes, también ha realizado los largometrajes "El Sueño del Caracol" (2000) y "Huevo Negro" (2001) obras que rescatan elementos estéticos de la video-instalación, el documental y el cine experimental. En el año 2002 realiza el documental "NO CITIZEN" . El año 2004 realiza su tercer largometraje "CRISALIDA", trabajo experimental que explora el mundo de una mujer esquizofrénica, estrenado internacionalmente en la galería de arte contemporáneo STUDIO ?, Rotterdam, Holanda y durante el año 2005 estrenado en Chile en el IX Festival Internacional de Cine de Valparaíso.
Ha desarrollado y grabado proyectos de música étnica, electrónica y experimental, bajo el seudónimo "topo" ha editado dos discos compactos.

During his course he has developed paintings that explore the unconsciousnes, myths, shamanism and prime images on a free style close to Neo-Expresionism. He has shown his work on collective and individual paintings, photographies, collages, drawings, installations and video-installation exhibitions. In 2005 he performed "RITUAL NOOSFERICO Nº1", an installation and poetic act.
He has written numerous texts that include novels, poetries, experimental writings. He has also recieved recognition for some literary competitions.. During 2001 he published his first poetry book calls "Pornography".
During this time he also directed many short films. He also created the long films "El Sueño del Caracol" (2001) and "Huevo Negro" (2001), both works rescue the esthetic elements of video-installation, documentary and experimental cinema. In 2002 Alvaro Robles realized the documentary "No citizen". In 2004 he created his third long film "Crisálida" an experimental work that explores the world of a schizophrenic woman, it was internationally released in the contemporary gallery art Studio of Rotterdam-Holland, it was shown in Chile in 2005 during the IX International Cinema Festival of Valparaiso.
He has created and recorded ethnic, electronic and experimental musical proyects and has edited two albums using the pseudonym "Topo".
