The reason is not because of gender; it is given in the Qur'anic verse:(so that if one of them errs, the other can remind her)
the distinction is far from being due to any belief in a deficiency of the woman's humanity and integrity as many ppl argue.It's rather due to her natural disposition and her special inclinations as well as the fact that her reason is often overtaken by her emotions and this happens to women more often than it happens to men.
So the Qur'an accepted their testimony, but to insure justice indicated that there should be two.
There may be women who are wiser than some men, but this is not the usual rule and such women are not in the majority.
Shareeah is based on what is general and most common.

I don't like the idea that the testimony of two women equals the testimony of one man. I do not agree with that. That means if something happens people aren't going to believe what I say, but they would believe a man? Why? This was written 1400 years ago.

yes it's a fact that we r not allowed to drive but instead we have our own drivers to take us wherever we want , NO it's not a must that witnesses for a woman being raped must be men !!!! women can witness as well , the bottom line is the rape has really happend ! not just a fake accause for the sake of both parties not to be unjustly treated.NO it's not a fact that we CAN'T travel without a relative !! i myself have three of my friends who went alone to study in america no one will ever stop u at the airport ans ask where ur relative is ! and yes i can take it off but i won't cuz i believe by doing so am following ALLAH's commands it's a matter of choice otherwise u wouldn't find saudi women wearing it even when living abroad where they have the freedom not to do so !!

I see nothing wrong with wearing short sleeves or shorts. It is how you wear them. You don't have to wear short tight sexy clothes and if you do you know the kind of attention you will get which is not what I want. I do like getting sun on my skin and not too much but some sun is good for you. No matter how a woman dresses it is still the man's responsibility to be respectful. Some women here want to look real sexy and stupid advertising and low self esteem contributes to that but smart women know better. Still it is up to the man to control himself. It is up to them not to submit to their filthy animalistic out of control sexuality. Also I like having men friends and men and women can be friends without getting sexual.

Men are physically stronger than women but often they are not psychologically stronger. Here they don't like asking for directions and have a hard time admitting when they are wrong. They depend on their women. Women's strengths are often looked at as weaknesses; but when you can admit when you are wrong you can grow and change and become a better person and if you can't admit when you are wrong you stay stuck.

am not saying that women are useless ! am just talkin' about the fact that men and women
will never be equal cuz men are capable to do taskworks that women can't tolerate ! no matter how hard we try we are physically different . This is not just my opinion, so many researches and studies conducted have shown this as a fact that leaves no room for doubts.

u know what's funny ? ppl who respsct the idea of nuns wearing conservative clothes similar to the hijab with little color differences and see them as angles who chose the path of following God's commands BUT, not the idea of muslim women wearing same style and accause them of being ignorant and confined.

Sorry but my opinion is men should respect women whether they wear the hejab or not. Not all women in the west dress provocatively and unfortunately the advertisements make us all look like stupid bimbos but there are a lot of smart women here who don't run around looking like made up stupid bimbos. We also don't run around looking like nuns. There is a middle ground. Because men are pigs does not mean women have to cover everything even their arms. Men need to be respectful and have self control
You think women will never be equal to men and I don't agree. My opinion is women are often better than men, we are smarter, often psychologically stronger, and we have a lot more self control when it comes to sex. I've been on this earth a lot longer than you and that is my observation over the years. In the US women are better drivers and men have more accidents. Saudi Arabia has the highest accident rate in the world and only men drive there!
