Layne was a god. Trying to compare her, Duvall, or anyone else of course isn't going to add up, they are mere mortals. With that said, she did the song better than many mortals. Duvall is better, Maynard (another god) was better... but she's good in my books.

@JessJordaan Mike Starr didn't write that on his guitar, it was Mike Inez. Starr was kicked out of the band in 1993. MTV unplugged was recorded in 1996, where Mike Inez had "friends don't let friends get haircuts" on his bass, as a way to pick on Metallica.
