We have all been repulsed, sickened, deeply saddened and angry over the attack on Sophie Lancaster and Robert Maltby.
Our thoughts, Prayers and hearts go out to them and their families.
Please try and keep your comments constructive. We are all upset and emotions run high as is normal. However...
Please remember and support the fact that Sylvia Lancaster is making sure daughter Sophie did not die in vain -- by setting up a memorial campaign to combat prejudice.
The S.O.P.H.I.E Campaign's aim is to "raise awareness of the injustice perpetrated against Sophie and work towards a more tolerant, less violent society".
Lets not disrespect or detract from that in anyway.
Recently the home addresses of Sophie's murderers were posted on a number of videos in comments.
I have removed them. Please do not post these again. April 28th is sentencing and any hate campaign may be detrimental to that.
Calling for or encouraging revenge and violence are in opposition to campaign's philosophy and everything it stands for. Hate and violence will only breed more hate and violence. It is far better to focus our attention on Compassion, Understanding, Tolerance and Love. Wouldn't life be better for everyone if we could all do this?
The campaign is a positive one and if something good can come from such a tragic loss and terrible crime then we can all be proud that Sophie did not die in vain.
Please think before you post.
Let the law, the judge, karma and life deal with them and sleep sound in the knowledge that your conscience is clear and you are far better person than those responsible.
