The 2010 Panamera made its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show. The rear-wheel drive Panamera S can sprint from zero to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds on its way to a top speed of 175 mph, while the Panamera 4S can hit 60 in 4.8 seconds and achieves the same top speed. All models are equipped with Porsche's new PDK dual-clutch gearbox. The Panamera S and 4S are powered by a 4.8-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine making 400 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 500Nm or 369 lb-ft of peak torque from 3,500 to 5,000 rpm.

BMW launches the new F 800 R. At the 2009 New York International Auto Show, GMC debuted two new models - the all-new 2010 GMC Terrain and the 2009 Yukon Denali Hybrid.

Needing to reduce brands and models to compete, General Motors has combined three of its most recognized brands; Buick, Pontiac and GMC into one sales and marketing channel - which means many dealers, who had one or two of the brands previously, will now sell all three under one roof.

GM says each brand will play to its strengths Buick larger, premium cars; Pontiac sportier cars; and GMC pickups, SUV's and Crossovers.

Kinetic Energy Recovery Systems (KERS) have been introduced into Formula One as part of the sport's major regulation change for 2009.

A means to recover energy created under braking, the new regulation will see all teams running either a battery or flywheel system this season in an effort to improve racing. With the potential for the systems to be filtered into other applications, KERS is also one of the sport's major green initiatives.

Williams is the only team on the grid to be using a flywheel system which is demonstrated in this film, together with the team's Chief Designer, Ed Wood and CEO of Williams Hybrid Power, Ian Foley.
