Greetings Ozarks Chorale Listeners! This week in rehearsal we will be beginning work on the Hodie Christus natus est. You'll fine it 4th from the top in your listening list. It will be imensely helpful on this one if you listen prior to Tuesday's rehearsal. Have a great weekend!

To Ozarks Chorale members. I just added the Hallelujah Chorus to our listening station! I apologize for the ad at the beginning of the selection, ads are sometimes part of the youtube experience, but Sir Neville Marriner and St. Martin of the Fields is simply the best there is for Baroque music and so I wanted you to experience his conducting.

Enjoy!

Welcome Ozarks Chorale members! The piece featured is the Rutter "For the Beauty of the Earth". Take a listen to this beautiful version. Also on your listening list are the P.D.Q Bach,"Good King Kong", "Cherubim Song No. 7" (the choir here is singing it in Russian;don't worry we are not going to try that!), I"rving Berlin Christmas," and "Hodie." I'll add more as I find them and/or they become available.

If you would like to listen to the Kyrie that we worked on in rehearsal, you can find it by googling a site called: Discoverworship.com, then search by Tim Sharp, Kyrie eleison, next, click on the underlined title of the piece and it takes you to a demo of the entire piece.

And of course for Ellen's wonderful pieces, you can go to her site, www.ellenfoncannon.com where several of those that we are working on are available for listening (Thanks Ellen!!)

Happy listening and I'll see you in the next rehearsal!

Well I think all of my Dallas students and parents know that I am moving to Northwest Arkansas. I will miss all of you so much! Even though I will be back in Dallas to visit, teach some of you, maybe even teach some classes and workshops, it is so hard to not see you all for our weekly lessons. The nice thing about youtube is that we can still keep in touch! I can put up videos and we can check in with each other that way as well as by email, phone calls and in person. Also, the town in Arkansas where I am moving, Eureka Springs, is beautiful and the perfect place for a family vacation. You can even have a lesson with me if you come! : ) Please come to visit and I will be back to visit

Wow I can't believe the recital is only a week away! Thanks to all of you who have worked so hard and will be performing next Sunday! I promise there will be food. But you probably want to have a snack before you come, especially if you are performing. It's hard to play when your stomach is growling! The recital will be held at the Music and Arts store at 15212 Montfort Drive. The store is in the big shopping center with Barnes and Noble. The start time is now set for 6 pm but plan to arrive by 5:45. I've requested more chairs this year but you never know!

We're on regular lesson schedule this week, but will move to summer schedule after the 12th (the recital date). Any questions call, text, or email as usual! See you this week!
